Robert Castaigne

Funny use: in a Tony Morgan deck, hold your Colts in hand as long as you don't need them. Once you do need them, use Robert Castaigne to shoot as a fast action and then play both for the price of a single one and without spending an action.

And the cherry on top is that if you had put a bounty from Bounty Contracts on that enemy and you killed it with this shot, you regain it and now have 6 bounties and 6 ammos.

Luger P08

The ability to replenish the Luger can be interesting for the cases when you need to spend ammo for an other effect than using the weapon.

Well for now the only use case is Warning Shot I think but a single Luger P08 can be used to activate the Warning Shot that you cycle with The Book of War a few times. It gives you the possibility to repel the enemies you don't want to fight and the Book of war can also cycle tactics you use for clues (Followed, Kicking the Hornet's Nest, ...). And you even have the possibility to play those tactic events as fast actions with Chuck Fergus.

To have all these cards in the same deck, I think your best (only ?) choice is "Skids" O'Toole who is also interested in using Chuck Fergus on Cheap Shot, Slip Away, Breaking and Entering and Pilfer.

And then boom them all with a good old Dynamite Blast - another Tactic ;) — AlderSign · 417
Indeed. And as a fast action and/or at -2 cost. — TribulationsSolo · 1
Artistic Inspiration

I have a question regarding this card, and other similar "uses". I know that guns can have more ammo than what they come in play with, but can you add a inspiration to this card even if it already has one?

It says replenish, not add, so no. — Spamamdorf · 5
To be precice: You can't go over with the ability replenish. And for now, you can't at all, as there are no other cards in the pool, that interact with the Inspiration-Use-type. It's not likely, that they will expand that, they sure choosed "Inspiration" rather than something like ammo, charge, secret or supply for a reason. But it's not a hard limit (like it is on "Ornate Bow"), another card could add more, if they print such a card. An example would be an Akkachi-style investigator, who puts an additional use on cards with any one of the uncommon types of uses. — Susumu · 382
is it possible to use ability even if this card has inspiration on it? I mean, Barnaby would probably want to use is just to discard a card at enemy phase, for example. As far as I understand rules, you may pay cost of activation(everything that comes before ":"), even if reward doesn't make any change — Twinkle_Toes · 1
I too am wondering if you are able to use it just for the discard despite not gaining a 'use' on the card. — MechaStrizan · 1
Rule for triggered abilities: "A triggered ability can only be initiated if its effect has the potential to change the game state". So if there is inspiration on this card, you cannot discard with it (discarding is the cost, not the effect).. — AvatarRubix · 1
Can I use this to discard The Tower - XVI in my hand? Is using the reaction effect the same as cimmiting a card to a skill test? — Yadayada · 1
Answering my own question here. Rule reads, "may not optionally choose to discard a weakness... unless a card explicitly specifies otherwise." Even though I'm using this card (AI), I believe it would need to mention weaknesses in the text when instructing to discard a card. I ruled AI wouldn't work in my playthrough. — Yadayada · 1
Gift of Nodens

Does this break Silas or is it required to solve the whole text of this cards leaving no room to Silas's ability? I mean, he doesn't need more broken tech, Unrelenting is such a badly designed card (in a powerful way).

Even if this doesn't work the way I mentioned before, the card is bananas in Silas. Doubling on your Brute Force and Resourceful copies just by playing skills and fueling your discard pile is incredibly powerful. It's the wet dream for Survivor players.

Silas can take back the skill but the delayed effect on Gift of Nodens would still fire and the card will go from Silas' hand to the bottom of his deck after the test ends. Still I'd agree it's bonkers good for recurring skills. We used to need True Survivor for that but now you can just recycle to your heart's content. — koaexe · 38
Hand-Eye Coordination

Trying to make a new deck list for « Skids » O'Toole around the Ornate Bow, I have realised that this card can be used to pay the reload action.

I am not found of Skids because I think there is almost always an other investigator that can do the same ... but Ornate bow is tempting for him because he has both a good agility and the possibility to use the Venturer to recharge the bow. But a few time during a game, Hand-Eye Coordination could give you a third ammo to have a 3rd shot without taking an attack of opportunity to reload.

Awesome find! — AlderSign · 417
And yes, Skids is one of the best candidates for the Bow. His signature event also lets you reload without danger. If you go that road with him, Cleaning Kit will also come in handy ;) — AlderSign · 417
