The goals of this deck are simple
1.) Give Actions to your team members.
2.) Commit four icons on you and your team's skill tests.
3.) Tank Damage and Horror for the team.

How to help on skill tests:
First you need to have 3 sanity remaining. In the Thick of It already puts you down to 4 sanity so you only need First Watch or Ward of Protection for one more. I would even recommend that you die near the end of the first scenario after you Delve Too Deep for the mental trauma so you don't have to setup your sanity every start of a new one.
With 3 remaining sanity. you now have access to all your Desperate cards. Bestow Resolve makes this better as you can commit the cards as four wild icons!
Just ensure that you have your soak cards ready as you might suddenly die to Rotting Remains.
Tanking Options:
1.) Girish Kadakia is your best bro. He can tank and give +2 to you and your team's tests. Inspiring Presence allows you to use his effect twice per round. I also recommend getting a 2nd copy of him if you have spare exp.
2.)Hunter's Armor - Gives you and your team 4 damage/horror soak. You can even draw a card if it's from a treachery. Upgrade this with Refine every scenario if possible.
3.)Runic Axe + Spectral Shield - Attach Spectral Shield to your weakest (or favorite) team member so you can mitigate damage remotely. Just ensure that you have your Runic Axe in play first as Spectral Shield's effect is forced.
4.)Sound Support - Not a priority upgrade but nonetheless helpful as additional soak for the team.
Other Considerations:
1.) Other Support Cards - Stargazing, Emergency Cache(4) - great if you have some exp to spare.
2.) Resource and Card Draw - This deck's primary weakness. I can't blame you if you get some Emergency Cache(3) to solve this.
3.) More 4 Icons Skill Cards - Defensive Stance, Occult Theory - fits right into the 4 icons theme.
4.)Winds of Power - I'm trying to love this card but in most of my games, it's a dead draw. Get this if you're frequently running out of Bestow Resolve charges.
5.)Stick to the Plan + Ever Vigilant - Great cards but are very expensive. It's better for Carson decks that revolves around Tactics and The Book of War.
