I have been impressed with this build so far. The Fire Axe + Madame Labranche combo has gotten Agnes out of enemy situations when Shrivelling was not on the table.
Lantern is - in my opinion - a very underutilized card that is perfect in this deck. It gives Agnes a decent chance of grabbing clues when Rite of Seeking is not available, as well as adding to her direct damage capabilities.
Painkillers alleviate Agnes’ low health, while at the same time triggering her ability. Clarity of Mind socks it to the resulting horror from all of the above tricks.
I’m considering dropping Storm of Spirits for one more Madame Labranche and "Look what I found!", but also don’t want to end up in a corner, unable to deal with enemies once the charges are off Shrivelling, etc.

Apr 09, 2018I agree on the Storm of Spirits - I think I'm going to cut one for an additional copy of Madame Labranche. I also think that Clarity of Mind of mind is trash, but it beats out Cherished Keepsake and Holy Rosary in that Agnes' ability can only trigger if the horror is placed on her - which necessitates direct healing rather than soaking the horror elsewhere. What I wouldn't give to be able to drop Liquid Courage in this one... |

Apr 09, 2018As upgrade, what about Peter Sylvestre 2 and Charisma, for when taking more than 1 horror or there's not target for her ability? He has the same "problem" as Cherished Keepsake or Holy Rosary, but his self heal should keep him in play all the time. You're playing a lot of assets, which makes your deck very slow. You might want to cut some of them. |
As far as Storm of Spirits goes, I would only include one, but I would definitely include one. The ability to clear a room with a single action is a rare occasion, but very strong. I really like the fire axes and lanterns for when you don't have your key spells, but I think Clarity of Mind is just a bad card. If you want to heal your horror, I think Fearless is superior to it, and if that's too inconsistent or not enough, i would include Cherished Keepsake or a second Holy Rosary, even though they fight with your Heirloom for a slot.
