A Silas Marsh deck I've designed to play with a Norman Withers one. Norman will handle most of the clue gathering and will seal bad tokens (2 and ) while we evade/fight the threats (depending on the campaign). Note that it's not a Dark Horse deck as I want to be able to use True Survivor and Will to Survive while also being able to help in resource-consuming tasks (scenario based)!

Mulligan and early game
Nautical Prowess is the most wanted card. You'll want OpportunistS and Baseball Bat too, you can pretty much hard mulligan for those. Peter Sylvestre (upgraded version) is also MVP. Eureka! helps you setup in the eventuality you got nothing. Use it to search for the missing pieces of your setup or other useful cards: Track Shoes, Resourceful, Lucky!...

Clue gathering
Use Resourceful for "Look what I found!", Lucky!. Track Shoes helps you move smoother through the locations. Winging It and "Look what I found!" help you find clues per batch of two, saving actions in the process. Winging It should be used on 1-2 shroud locations. You can get cockier with "Look what I found!" when you have Lucky! in hand. You can use Silas ability along with Lucky! to save precious Skill cards and be a little cocky on your tests, based on the difficulty.

Treacheries
Horror is not a problem thanks to Peter Sylvestre and Fearless (also: their upgraded versions). Those help dealing with vicious treacheries too. True Understanding can be used to handle some treacheries while also clue gathering, neat.

Economy
When in need of cards/resources, Take Heart on a hard test (later on supported by Try and Try Again). This saves you actions in the process. Do note that the card you're getting through Take Heart can be used while attempting the test once more with Live and Learn if you think it's doable. You can commit Defiance to prevent bad tokens from hindering you in the process, use Silas's to get it back if none appears. This is your basic economic combo (when Try and Try Again is up). Rinse and repeat.

Fight
Baseball Bat will handle most of the enemies, don't forget you CANNOT use Defiance to reduce her breakability as tokens are still revealed while Will to Survive on the contrary works wonder. Stunning Blow works on Elite monsters, you can beat the crap out of them while also automatically evading them. If Stunning Blow is not in your hand or for enemies you need no to kill: Peter Sylvestre and Track Shoes with wild icons should do the trick. Track Shoes can also be used extensively to explore new locations after evading.

Skills
Most skills cards in this deck have a icon or 3 icons and an effect on a successful test. A test is more than just a test with this deck: you can make profit out of it. True Survivor is used to be even more aggressive with your commits, True Survivor can be scavenged through Resourceful leading to an unending loop of Resourceful, 2 other Skill cards of your choice and True Survivor. Nautical Prowess is the strongest card of the deck. As it is Innate it can be scavenged through True Survivor. But its true power lies in the text itself: you can proc its ability and then proc Silas's one, thus leading to a free draw. It can acts a Lucky! but the draw action is a lot stronger, don't hesitate to save it with your ability if you have a Lucky! to spare (especially the upgraded version).

Will to Survive
The last staple of the deck. This card is super powerful. It protects your bat, it allows you to easily investigate 2-shroud locations and pretty much any location with commits. It allows you to proc Quick Thinking with minimum investment. Like most cards it can be scavenged through Resourceful.

I have been playing with a clone of this deck with a couple changes (mainly just small differences in card taste). This is a very interesting deck and takes a bit to get used to but very fun when you get the machine going. Having a deck mostly of skills can get a bit wonky though in the wrong places.

I only encountered one scenario where I was completely broken. To minimize spoilers, it was in Forgotten Age and required a good amount discarding cards with cost values. Well, since this deck is almost all skills especially after some of my replacements, that was very hard to do and had to focus on crowd control of enemies.

I will say I have been able to do some epic combos with upgraded Try Try Again, Silas' ability, Quick Thinking and Resourceful.

A good attack run on a heavy enemy is 1) baseball bat then 2) baseball bat + Stunning Blow; get a good 4 dmg on an enemy and then they're exhausted and prime for hitting next round.

Fun! Nice build.
