Main Objective:
- Find 1 copy of Living Ink and play it (stats became 6/5/1/5)
- Find another copy of Living Ink and play it (stats became 8/7/0/7). You become a god at this point, with your insane mobility through dream gate.
- Use Lost Arcana, 2* Enraptured, Call the Beyond to keep your Living Ink and Gate Box last as long as possible. Your Practice Makes Perfect can prioritize Enraptured if you already have Living Ink.
The tools to draw these pieces include Scroll of Secrets, Grim Grimoire, Perception.
And your weakness really doesn't bother you since you can just use 1 action to investigate it with your insane stats and flip it back, and then keep doing what you do.
Didn't include Astronomical Atlas because it will suck up Living Ink which has no icons and you will never get it out.
Side Quest: During your search, gradually get St. Hubert's Key and Whitton Greene in play. Your final all-out stats will be 9/9/0/7.
Clue Gathering Your main job, and you are damn good at it. Your insane stats makes you successful in any basic investigations (unless a pops up). You have 2 Read the Signs and 2 Deduction to increase your clue efficiency (feel free to invest more if you want, like Seeking Answers). Your mobility through dream gate makes you superior in moving compared to other seekers.
Enemy management Not really your job, you can choose to evade enemy with 7 if you have 2 Living Ink out. If you don't want to waste an action on that, just use dream gate. I put a copy of Spectral Razor just in case if the team needs you to do damage. Feel free to swap it out.
Resources 3 Astounding Revelation and 2 Burning the Midnight Oil should be more than enough. Astounding Revelation can become secrets on Scroll of Secrets and Grim Grimoire if you already have good amount of resources.
Healing Fearless should be enough to keep your sanity high enough so that St. Hubert's Key doesn't explode. Otherwise I simply put down 1 copy of Deny Existence to mitigate a big damage.

Dec 20, 2025With such high stats, why not use a Testing Sprint? |
Dec 21, 2025Testing Sprint is a very situational card, and I found it hard to use in my team because the way we play is enter a new place, and then get rid of the clues there, and then enter another. Most of time Testing Sprint doesn't work that well. I think the best way to do it is to include 2 copies of Memories of Another Life (5XP), and then print test sprint on the spot if there is a good situation for it. You can also have tons of flexibility for other situations. I kept the XP under 20 just to follow standalone rules. |
Dec 21, 2025how do you get 2 copies of living ink in play? is there a way to get a second body slot? |
Dec 21, 2025sorry i missed imbued ink. makes sense now |
Jan 06, 2026Sorry, could you explain how 'Find 1 copy of Living Ink and play it (stats became 6/5/1/5)' is possible? I mean fully upgrade, the ink lets you circle only two skills, right? So how we get +2 in three skills? |
Jan 06, 2026Reading the card explains the card, i see it now. Interesting, want to try it. |
Jan 07, 2026yeah you can spend 2XP to circle 1 more stat and 3XP for yet another one |
