- .45 Thompson + Act of Desperation
- Tetsuo Mori + .45 Thompson / Eye of the Djinn
- A Chance Encounter / Flare + Summoned Hound
- Hit and Run + Gregory Gry / The Red-Gloved Man
- Geas (commit) + Eye of the Djinn (not really, though)

Although I am a huge fan of Underworld Support I don't see a place in this deck. Mainly this is because of the many basic weaknesses due to standalone rules (which make a thin deck less convenient), but also do I not see much saved xp here, since I already run only one copy of the banger uniques. The only one I see is The Red-Gloved Man, but then again it's also the one I do want to run twice. Backpack is a fine idea... maybe Geas isn't that necessary in this deck and could be exchanged for it. Also love the idea of running Beretta M1918, by the way. |
Dec 02, 2024My mistake - Beretta M1918 is outside his card pool (max lvl2). He can have Mauser C96 (2) though which is similar to a .45 Thompson, 5 ammo, +2 combat +1 Damage. It can also recover any penny spent on Trigger Man. Switchblade (2) is another option (no ammo), still illicit for Trigger Man despite his name. Both of these are 1h, and could spare the xp on Occult Reliquary. Obv, if The Red-Gloved Man is your target, dont let me discourage you on him. I didnt notice he was key. I would say Geas is fine unless you can find a full 6 more xp to spare a weakness. its probably your flex spend here. Finally, have a look at Friends in High Places. Theres some options on there for ally/item searching. |

I know this is combo-greedy, but I want the .45 Thompson for its interaction with Act of Desperation (+6 combat and 6 resources gained) and the fact that I save 6 resources when put into play with Trigger Man. Feels too good not to do it. I bet you mean Friends in Low Places; in this case: yeah, that would be a fine addition. |

Looking good.
I wasnt sure if you were looking for tips, but have you considered Underworld Support here? You have plenty of uniques/one ofs, and search effects. Going down to 1x on a lot of the high xp allies would save you a lot of xp. At a guess, you might miss having the second thompson, but you could just have an alternative big gun with the xp (Beretta M1918 is an easy pick when you can use allies to boost for the benefits). And/or Backpack (2) - which would also help find Eye of the Djinn and add a little extra pseudo draw. I think the biggest price is not being able to get the second Charisma, but from experience with charlie, 5 allies has been plenty. I find that the key part is getting 3-4 in play quickly. 4-6 late game can be nice but isnt vital.
