INTRO
Of all the strange and wonderful new cards in the rogue pool that Scarlet Keys has brought us, the concept of porting cards from your standard deck and setting them aside in the Underworld Market's "evil hunch deck" seems engineered to make Winifred Habbamock players happy. Those of you who have played the daredevil aviatrix know how much her rapid card-draw engine suffers when you begin to pull your assets from your deck into your hand; unless she ends up commiting it away, Winifred is going to have to slow her momentum to put on that jacket or take a cigarette break. Tossing the majority of her already-illicit assets and events into the Underworld Market means that Wini will be able to keep a core deck with a much higher degree of skill cards that she can use to commit to her heart's content as she cycles her deck approximately seven hundred times a scenario.
The caveat to this strategy is that adding a 10 resource cost to pull the entirety of the Underworld Market over the course of a scenario is expensive, so we need to make sure Wini has enough dollar bills to get her thrills.
VARIANTS
This deck comes in several different flavors. The deck listed to our left is Wini's level 0 deck + the Underworld Market, and is poised to take on one of three different roles: Flex, Fight, or Find.
The Flex Queen is a jack of all trades that leans harder into the 'big money' rogue archetype than her sisters do (though the Finder Queen is very capable of taking on that role as well with a tweak or two to her deck.)
The Fighter Queen is a pure bruiser and enemy handler that can be run as any campaign's main fighter.
Last, The Finder Queen is a hyper-capable green seeker.
You'll notice that each of the variants are two cards short of a full deck. These last two spots are reserved for your preferred ally, of which there are several options.
The Flex will want to run some combination of Delilah O'Rourke, Lola Santiago, Leo De Luca, or Gené Beauregard.
The Fighter will want Delilah O'Rourke as well, and also will be interested in Leo De Luca for the extra action or Lonnie Ritter for the and the regen combo with Heavy Furs.
The Finder will almost certainly want to bring Gené Beauregard and Lola Santiago, but a Big Money finder could make an argument to invite Dario El-Amin into her co-pilot's seat as well.
PARTNERS
Queen Wini tends to play very well with others given how easy it is to shape her deck into different roles, but certain investigators really help her kick into overdrive.
Darrell Simmons: The first variant of this deck was played across from Darrell through Edge of the Earth, and I cannot understate the value of the his ability to guarantee successes for Arkham's premier succeed-by rogue.
Patrice Hathaway: Patrice's devil-may-care attitude toward her own cards means that it's a pittance to commit something she can't use during her turn to one of your tests, and her card pool and respectable stat help shore up Winifred's weaknesses to the encounter deck.
Minh Thi Phan: Winifred loves ? cards, and Minh loves giving out ?s. They are registered at J.C. Penny's.
Harvey Walters: Harvey accelerates Winifred's already rapid draw engine, allowing her to burn out in a bright and beautiful blaze of glory.
Carson Sinclair: This is cheating, everyone likes going on adventures with Carson.
