Auckmid's build just seemed to good to pass up. This is my new cards version of his own amazing build.

Being a relatively new player, I at first had Mists of R'lyeh in my deck along with the other 2 arcane spells and then realized I only have 2 hands. Didn't want to have to burn a spell book needlessly.

We have swapped out Lucky! entirely for Live and Learn

Fight or Flight also removed for Deny Existence. That is such a powerful card and makes it so I can more freely do Drawn to the Flame and Delve Too Deep along with Ward of Protection. My campaign is a multiplayer game without a dedicated seeker class, so being able to whip out Drawn to the Flame without having to worry excessively about Encounter stuff is nice.

Meat Cleaver is such a great upgrade to a baseball bat/ax in this super low econ build. Losing your weapon or not being able to effectively deploy ax is no bueno. The rest is relatively untouched.

Untested, but since it is based on such a strong deck and only has minor changes I expect it to play out well enough. I can foresee losing Guts when the Arcane spells power themselves up. Delve can safely go after we establish our XP base early on. After that, cutting becomes more difficult for upgrades. Not sure what to cut and I guess it depends on how our campaign shakes out with my teammates builds.

So we just did the first The Forgotten Age mission and we faired ok. I say that as we actually got completely board wiped the first attempt (because we didn't aggressively mulligan) and our fighter got killed in one round by the baddy that got generated.

I actually was able to nuke the baddy that got generated by using Shrivelling. Then I died to a pathetic snake after I defeated the big bad because I had no charges. So note to yourself, Shrivellingis great, but if you expect prolonged combat, equip your weapon instead (I had the choice).

On the second attempt, we cleared with doom to spare. The ability for this mage to wield so many counterspells and fight and get clues is pretty amazing. I had just gotten off a campaign as Rex Murphy and am so used to having to run that it is nice to be able to mix it up but still find clues. Money is def a problem with this build. I have always been hurting for resources for big spells, and in a pinch, I could see this being a problem. It hasn't been so far, but might look at upping the econ a bit if it does turn out to be one. With the level of time warp I plan to build in, though, perhaps that won't matter.
