War of the Outer Gods | Epic Multiplayer
This was the deck I brought to the Epic Multiplayer War of the Outer Gods Arkham Horror LCG event held in Melbourne, Australia on Valentine's Day 2026.
I felt like a reverse cupid, stopping "lovers" from meeting up in Arkham to summon their valentine.
We had 2 tables of 4, with our table consisting of:
- Marion Tavares - Role: Flex
- Stella Clark - Role: Flex (leaning Clue)
- Sefina Rousseau - Role: Flex Support
- Michael McGlen - Role: Combat
Character Strategy
This is designed for Clue/Support in managing the encounter deck through Eye of Ghatanothoa, Parallel Fates, and cancelling with Ward of Protection and Foresight, with a heavy gambling motif.
I've played many variations of Sefina Rousseau, being originally inspired by Lola Hayes' Statstick Sefina
As it happened...
- Incredible setup. Drew into Eye of Ghatanothoa, Olive McBride (2), Foresight, Ward of Protection (2), Friends in Low Places, and Parallel Fates (2) in my opening hand.
Need to work out the math for the odds of this happening. - Marion Tavares also started with Ever Vigilant (1) pulling out Hallowed Mirror and Field Agent on the first turn, so we were quite set from early game.
- Stella Clark also started well with Granny Orne (3) and Old Keyring
- Michael McGlen was not so lucky though, didn't draw a weapon from the start, and when it was finally drawn and played, it was quickly Confiscated.
Still managed to recover and Gatling Gun away swathes of enemies. - Drew Eyes of the Dreamer quite early, allowing me to get clues quite effectively.
- Playing 21 or Bust with Olive McBride as a "finisher" is such a power move. Managed to get 6 and 5 resources this time only though.
- Spending 2 charges with Olive McBride in Eyes of the Dreamer was successful in getting 2 clues all 4 times through the scenario. Probably helped by the 3x -1s and 3x s in this scenario (Standard difficulty)
- Olive McBride and Eyes of the Dreamer helped draw the more than 5x this scenario.
- Voice of Ra with Olive McBride net me an incredible 9 resources in a single action - the theoretical maximum. Too bad I only saw 1 copy and only towards the end-game.
- Both tables reached Agenda 2 for all 3 factions, and Agenda 3 was not reached.
- Never drew Confidence, not that I lacked any with such an incredible start!
What would I change?
- Probably should have Spectral Razor (2) and Read the Signs (2) for some clue consistency. Was hesitant due to the cost of replaying these cards over and over.
- Should really include Sure Gamble and Hot Streak for thematic purposes.
