Use book of war to recur Toe to Toe and dodge.

When the book runs out, ditch it with act of desperation

Use crowbar to Scavenge back the book, hunting jacket, and cherished keepsake (before the first one dies). You end up quite rich by recurring the jacket.

I mostly use resourceful for more At a Crossroads. With that much draw I havent needed a second scavenging.

You could probably save 4 xp by using sparrow mask instead of the bangle if you wanted.
