Setup: Ok so I am new to Arkham, haven't really played anything, kinda know somethings but don't know almost any story spoilers. I am not great at deck building and not great at card games to be honest lol but i have fun. So after this post my deck descriptions will be short stories in "fiction" of how my games went. I plan on playing through everything I can get my hands on. Right now I have 2x Old Cores and all the Dunwich stuff. But my entire profile here will only be stories (good and bad ones). Sometimes I'll play the same campaigns with different Investigators and I'll post those stories too. If I do a 2 handed game same thing I'll have stories from each of those characters view, I'm doing this because I recognize that at this stage of the game and where I'm coming in I am not going to show anyone anything new so why not have fun. Keep an eye on decks as I play though scenarios and update the stories. At some point i plan on trying some campaign to campaign stuff IF they live and I think I can do it.
Prologue: Roland Banks wasn't used to being laughed out of a room. He made the mistake of telling his supervisor all the strange things that he has noticed about the bodies that have been piling up these past few weeks. At first even he didn't believe his eyes when he saw it , but after too many appearing the same way, devastated to the point of not being able to identify them if it wasn't for the missing peoples reports. Typically Roland follows everything by the book, but as they say when its not even in the book throw it out!
The Gathering: When the door to his study suddenly vanished Roland drew his Roland's .38 Special and Flashlight faster than instincts could. He could hear noise from the other side of the wall. He knew something strange was going on and this was just the proof. After banging on the wall for awhile he could hear a voice, It was Officer Thompson one of the only cops in this town that believed him about the bodies. "Stand Back!" The Beat Cop beat the wall in letting Roland spill into the hall. Strange magic on the door to the parlor, the rest of the house almost unrecognizable from the filth and grime that was suddenly there. A smell blowing down the hall of rotting flesh caused Roland's stomach to give up. "We need to get out, but i hear someone in the parlor! Lets go to the cellar and see if we can find something." The cellar was cold and full of snow. Roland and Thompson after collecting themselves at the bottom of the slick icy stairs decided maybe the snow will help if they can find something else in the attic. Roland found the answer to the smell when they went to the attic. Rotting flesh of someone or something hung from the rafters dripping. Luckily what they needed was just inside the door. "After we light this we are going past a point of no return.",Thompson was worried about the plan to blow the door to the parlor. "You want to leave and live right?" Roland light it and the door burst opened. A noise of growls started from the cellar and the woman in the parlor started yelling calling Roland a fool. "You have ruined everythin......BEHIND YOU!" A man or worse was standing loaming behind Roland and Thompson wearing some sort of cultist garb. Before the Ghoul Priest could do anything Roland unloaded his entire .38 into him, "We are going to have to burn the house down to make sure we get them all!" Without hesitation Roland used another barrel from the attic to take care of the job.
