This deck literally blasted Carcosa and toyed Hastur in 2-players.

Here is the main setup strategy:

  • Mulligan hard for Milan Christopher and Vault of Knowledge to get your economy going.
  • Play Farsight when you get close or higher than 8 cards in hand to play your expensive (Extensive Research), draw (Deep Knowledge, Preposterous Sketches, Emergency Cache) and tempo (Unearth the Ancients) events fast.
  • Play your Ancient Stones as soon as you get them, ideally through unearth the ancients for extra combo. I had them both with 8 secrets on scenario 3, it created a monster.
  • Play Bulletproof Vest when your hand size increases, to prevent your weakness from killing you. This decks typically shuffles back 1-2 times over a scenario, it allows you to play your juicy events more but also hurts more. The vest is perfect for not being worried by thrice-damned curiosity.

Here is an example of a typical turn I had in Carcosa mid-scenario:

  • Use farsight to play deep knowledge fast, dealing 3 damages to the man with the pallid mask for free with an ancient stone;
  • Use a secret on the other ancient stone to move to a connecting location for free;
  • Fast play cryptic writings to keep economy going.
  • Action 1: Play extensive research for 1-2 resources and clean out your location.
  • Fast play connect the dots to clean another location at the same time.
  • Play shorcut to move to a third location for free.
  • Damn I still have 2 turns... I guess I will investigate for 1 card and 1 resource thanks to my assets, and move with ancient stone/damage enemies engaged with my gooner if I want :)
  • Spend 1 turn looking through the window.

I do not remember having so much ease in Carcosa, completing half of the scenarios halfway through agendas, sometimes on agenda 1. I had turns grabbing 12 clues, while getting free cards, resources, damages and movement in the process... Absolutely stunning
