Leo Anderson - Teacher Deck, Full Collection

TEACHER DECK?

The “Teacher Decks” are meant to provide an easy to explain decklist for an experienced player, with a full collection(up to the Edge of the Earth release), to give to a new player to show teach the game with.

Note that these decks aren’t super optimized or efficient like many of the decklists around here. That’s because it would defeat the point of these teacher decks. I’m just giving a solid platform to learn the game with.

It can be hard enough to learn the ins and outs of this game, lets not make it harder on ourselves by getting ahead of ourselves shall we?

These will generally include an overview of the deck, what it should be teaching, and some suggestions and thoughts on upgrades for the deck.

OVERVIEW

Well suited to running off on his own, being able fight, get some clues, AND stay healthy while doing so. This deck will show that it is perfectly okay to let your allies take the fall on your behalf.

Lone Wolf is there to fund Treasure Hunter(1) and Keen eye(3), and encourage the player to not be scared to go alone. If you really need him to babysit though, you can change Lone Wolf to Stand Together(0).

The reason we will be sticking to one hand weapons is to retain flashlight, ensuring they get familiar with how investigating works.

UPGRADES

Always get Charisma(3) first. It’s simply the Anderson way.

If Leo keeps Lone Wolf, get Keen eye(3) and Treasure Hunter(1) after Charisma(3). This will allow a way to steadily get clues, so he’s productive while off on his own.

If Leo is playing babysitter, get beat cop(2) and Hired Muscle, then focus on your weapons. The .45 Automatic(2) and Mauser(2) are solid one handers, and Blackjack(2) will let you babysit better.
