This build is aimed to focus purely on combat.

Main weapon is the .45 Thompson (later .45 Thompson (3)).

The purpose is to use the .45 Thompson in conjunction with your allies and your reload cards to kill enemies as efficiently as possible and keep your teammates safe from harm.

Leo De Luca is the main priority. With him down, you have 4 actions per turn, which will allow you to kill enemies before they have a chance to react. Beat Cop and Guard Dog will help you kill enemies more easily. Swift Reflexes is for an extra action in a pinch. Early in the campaign will have trouble paying for all that stuff, but after you get .45 Thompson (3), paying for these cards will become trivial. We also have Emergency Cache and "Watch this!" to help with this matter.

Upgrades

With .45 Thompson (3). things become a lot easier and with it you can wreck havoc. With Leo De Luca and Swift Reflexes you can get a 5-action turn which will allow you to kill even the thoughest enemies within 1 turn. With Venturer and Swift Reload you will rarely worry about ammo count and you can use all those cash gained from .45 Thompson, Emergency Cache and "Watch this!" to pay for Keen Eye and to play your allies and events. Dynamite Blast is for some big fireworks and Dodge/"I've had worse…" is there for a bit of damage/horror management and a little bit of extra cash.

Ignore Enchanted Blade if you have Thompson. It only serves as a backup weapon. It's useful early-campaign before you get your upgrades, but later it's not that useful (hence we cut 1 copy).

The skill card choices is flexible. With the exception of Vicious Blow, the other skill cards can be switched with other ones of your choice. Things like Guts, Overpower and Unexpected Courage are good to replace with.

One of the things I like about this deck is that Swift Reload can fully reload Thompson as a fast action. That gives you a lot of flexibility as a fighter. You can keep it in your hand and play it when you 're out of ammo and get 5 bullets back (even mid-fight) and potentially 5 more resources. With that and Venturer you will rarely worry about ammo and after you get Stick to the Plan you will always have it ready for immediate use if you manage your resources a little carefully.
